WNS Limited Sets SBTi Goals

WNS (Holdings) Limited, a provider of global digital-led Business Process Management (BPM) solutions, signed up for the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) with a commitment to halving its carbon emissions by 2030 and aiming for net zero by 2050.

The company also aligned with the UN-backed Race to Zero campaign and carbon disclosures under the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

WNS announced an increasing number of its offices are running on green power and that it added to a growing fleet of electric vehicles (EVs).

WNS India and Costa Rica switched to utilizing green power for 14 offices to meet their electrical energy requirements. This accounts for 76% of the power consumption of WNS operations in India and 99.3% of renewable sources in Costa Rica.

The company lowered energy consumption by consolidating its operational sites (offices and data centers) and is measuring the impact by capturing energy data, identifying the associated impacts and finding alternatives to minimize it. WNS is also focusing its attention on opting for green and energy-efficient buildings for its future offices.

Details were provided in its fourth annual corporate sustainability report titled "Empowering Growth, Inspiring Change."  The FY 2023-24 report was developed in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. It is also aligned with Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Standards, UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and UN Global Compact principles.

“I am delighted to present our fourth annual corporate sustainability report, which showcases our collective efforts towards building a more sustainable and equitable future. WNS’ sustainability goals are deeply intertwined with our economic growth and value creation objectives for all of our key stakeholders, including our clients, employees, shareholders and communities,” said Keshav R. Murugesh, Group CEO of WNS, in a statement.
