Meta's 2024 Sustainability Report
As one of the largest corporate buyers of renewable energy globally, Meta has maintained net zero emissions in global operations since 2020. From a 2017 baseline, the company has reduced its emissions by 94% primarily by matching 100% of its electricity use with renewable energy.
Meta's annual Sustainability Report outlines its progress to address emissions as well as the energy and water used to power its business, products and workplaces. The report highlights Meta's progress in 2023 and looks to the challenges facing the company in 2024 and beyond, including the increased energy demand of AI.
