Kenco Decreases Emissions

Kenco, a third-party logistics provider, announced that 82% of its material handling equipment (MHE) fleet utilized in warehousing operations is electric as the company continues efforts to move away from fuel sources such as propane.

The company also announced that 75% of its leased and operated warehouses have installed LED fixtures, with a goal to reach 80% by 2026.

As detailed in its annual Sustainability Report, Kenco’s 2023 GHG data includes the company’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions, establishing a benchmark to evaluate and improve against in the future. Kenco has aligned its sustainability efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

“For Kenco, the term ‘sustainability’ is broad reaching. We look at it not only in the operational sense in how we reduce our carbon footprint, but also in the corporate sense about how we’re making inclusive decisions to help grow our team and run a sustainable organization,” said Denis Reilly, President and CEO at Kenco, in a statement. “We’ve introduced a number of sustainability initiatives in the last few years, and we’re anticipating real, measurable impacts.”
