ProAmpac Commits to SBTi Goals
ProAmpac, a flexible packaging and material science company, announced its commitment to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) under the Net-Zero pathway.
The company committed to setting targets for net zero emissions by 2050 through the SBTi, affirming its participation in the Race to Zero campaign. The company will establish long-term, science-based targets to achieve net zero value chain emissions. It plans to submit its targets for SBTi validation within the next 24 months.
As part of its sustainability strategy, ProAmpac transformed its product portfolio to offer a sustainable attribute for 100% of its packaging portfolio. This achievement supports the company’s broader goal of advancing solutions that contribute to the circular economy, reinforcing its leadership in driving sustainability throughout the packaging industry.
ProAmpac also recently received the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for its work in building better sustainability processes.
"These accomplishments reflect ProAmpac's dedication to empowering our customers in their sustainability efforts and are testaments to our strategic alignment with sustainable growth," says Greg Tucker, founder, vice-chairman and CEO for ProAmpac, in a statement. "By pioneering sustainable practices and minimizing our environmental impact, we ensure our packaging solutions align with the values that matter most to today's consumers."
