General Mills announced an 11% decrease in their GHG emissions footprint in 2017 compared to 2010. The decline came across the company’s value chain in the areas of agriculture, packaging, producing, shipping, converting, selling, and consuming.

Merck announced on Apr. 17 a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) for 60 MW of renewable energy. Electricity will be generated from Invenergy’s Santa Rita East wind farm near San Angelo, Texas, which is expected to be online in 2019.
BP aims for zero net emissions growth
BP announced plans for reducing emissions including zero net growth in operational emissions out to 2025 from 2015 levels, as well as a 3.5 million-ton reduction of sustainable GHG emissions in the same timeframe.
