Wal-Mart VP to keynote Energy Storage North America
A nod to the growing use of energy storage among commercial and industrial power users, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Vice President of Energy Mark Vanderhelm is slated to give the keynote address at Energy Storage North America conference and exhibition this year.
The event, which runs Oct. 4 through Oct. 6 in San Diego, Calif., is also offering a dedicated conference track intended to appeal to commercial and industrial storage, where facilities managers will share case studies on solar plus storage, demand charge reduction, EV charging and outage resiliency.
The C&I track also features presentations on grid defection and the benefits of an optimized facility energy system.
Vanderhelm will speak about how Walmart is using storage to cut energy bills and meet its goal of achieving 100% renewable energy supply across its global operations. For more information on Energy Storage North America or to attend, check out the event's website.
