CyrusOne's Emission Goal Receives SBTi Approval
CyrusOne, a global data center developer and operator specializing in delivering digital infrastructure solutions, announced it received approval of the company’s GHG emission reduction target by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The company received approval and is committed to the target of reducing Scope 1 (fuels) and Scope 2 (electricity) GHG emissions 38% by 2030 from a 2021 base year and to measure and reduce its Scope 3 (supply chain) emissions.
“This is the next progression in our mission to reduce our company’s impact on the environment,’ said Kyle Myers, vice president of EHS&S at CyrusOne in a statement. “This target will launch us into the next phase of increasing renewable electricity, cutting our greenhouse gases, and shrinking our customers' carbon footprint.”
