Factsheet: Celebrating One Year of the Inflation Reduction Act
The one-year-old Inflation Reduction Act is helping to spark a surge of investment in clean energy deployment, manufacturing, and jobs. In this factsheet, Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) shows how these investments are uplifting communities in all 50 states with new economic opportunities and unleashing a new era of American energy dominance.
Since the IRA passed, 155 gigawatts (GW) of new production capacity has been announced across the solar supply chain. These announcements include:
- 85 GW of solar module capacity
- 43 GW of solar cells
- 20 GW of silicon ingots and wafers
- 7 GW of inverter capacity
