Precision Medicine Group Completes Energy Efficiency Projects

Precision Medicine Group (PMG), a provider of drug development and commercialization services, initiated various energy efficiency projects and standards across its facilities and measured associated emissions reductions from the baseline in 2023.

PMG calculated its Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions and conducted an energy audit of its most energy-intensive facilities in 2022.

The company integrated energy efficiency into its Houston, Texas facility and installed new and more efficient HVAC systems to replace existing equipment. In addition, PMG renovated and upgraded its facilities in California to comply with Title 24 regulations, installed LED lighting throughout its new facilities, and retrofitted inefficient warehouse lighting and fixtures to energy-efficient LED equivalents using less than half the power. 

PMG established a baseline for its environmental impact and submitted climate disclosures to the CDP. Details were published in its inaugural 2023 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report.

"However, we need to responsibly balance this innovation with its impact on society. To that end, we are focused on meeting substantive ESG goals while being holistic in our approaches."

The company created a three-year strategic plan for advancing performance across key issues and conducted a materiality assessment in 2023 by surveying internal and external stakeholders to understand their prioritization of relevant ESG issues.

PMG's investment in ESG will continue as it works to implement strategic initiatives, programs, and policies based on the company's ESG roadmap to advance its goals.
