Univar Solutions Nears 2025 Emissions Reduction Goal

Univar Solutions, a global solutions provider to users of specialty ingredients and chemicals, announced its global Scope 1 and 2 emissions were down by 19.9% from its baseline.

The company also set a new goal to reduce its Scope 3 emissions intensity by 15% by 2030.

Univar’s 2025 goals include the following:

  • 20% absolute reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 CO2e by 2025 against baseline. 
  • 40% absolute reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 CO2e by 2030 against baseline. 
  • 15%  intensity reduction in Scope 3 by 2030 against baseline.

Univar achieved its goal to communicate to all product suppliers the company’s expectations on ESG topics via issuance of its Global Supplier Code of Conduct through the end of 2023. 

The company maintained its EcoVadis Gold rating, increasing the score to 76/100 and placing the business in the top 3% of all assessed companies.

Details were released in its 2023 ESG report.
