A. O. Smith Surpasses Emissions Goal by 17%

Global water technology company A. O. Smith Corporation announced it surpassed its GHG emissions reduction goal by 17%.

Over the last two years, A. O. Smith made significant strides in its commitment to sustainability, including announcing its first public enterprise-wide water goal with a focus on administrative controls, process optimization and water recycling technologies to advance its commitment to water stewardship and continuously innovating its water heating and water treatment technologies.

 In 2023, the company prevented almost 562,243 metric tons of carbon emissions through sales of its highly efficient water heaters and boilers.

Details were released in its 2024 Sustainability Report, which documents the company's environmental, social and governance activities, progress and performance over the past two years.  This is the fourth sustainability report released by the company in the last six years.
