Agenda Additions for Net Zero Forum Spring

Smart Energy Decisions (SED) announces new sessions for Net Zero Forum Spring, set for April 21-23 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa near Austin, Texas. Buyer registration closes on March 18.

“SED’s Net Zero Forum is designed to provide insights and connections for buyers at all phases of their energy and sustainability journeys, from the very beginning to those who are well along the road to implementing their plans,” said Lisa Carroll, Energy Buyer Partnerships, Smart Energy Decisions. “Educational sessions, along with more intimate roundtable and peer-to-peer discussions, as well as invaluable 1-to-1 meetings with solution providers make this a don’t-miss event.”

The Forum will feature a series of Roundtable discussions. This topic-driven educational format offers a unique opportunity for energy customers to connect with a small group of subject matter experts and peers for insightful conversations on key industry topics. Confirmed topics include:

  • "Evolution of Corporate Sustainability: How are you adjusting your sustainability goals?" moderated by Constellation
  • "The Buzz About Electrification: From Sticker Shock to Sparking Success," moderated by Trane

Following the presentation of SED’s fourth annual WISE Awards to honor the 2025 cohort of Women in Smart Energy, a panel of winners to discuss their paths in energy and sustainability, their achievements, and the continuing growth of women in the clean energy industry.

Educational sessions will open with “Navigating Load Growth and Emission Goals,” presented by Luke Penne, Senior Business Development Manager with Constellation's Solutions team, and Hallie Carrao, Technical Program Manager at Google.  These experts will highlight innovative strategies they are implementing to enhance energy efficiency and integrate carbon-free sources, including the importance of collaboration to achieve sustainable energy goals.

Trane® by Trane Technologies will present “Stop Saying You Can’t Find Money for Energy & Sustainability Projects.” Trevor Joelson, Enterprise Energy Service Account Executive, will challenge the notion that funding for decarbonization projects is out of reach. The session will explore strategies for building a compelling business case to guide projects from ideation to implementation.

“Leading the Charge: Creating a Sustainable Future with Data Centers” will feature Miranda Gardiner, Executive Director, iMasons Climate Accord and a panel of data center practitioners to discuss how to create sustainable data centers of the future, including Alise Porto, SVP of Energy and Sustainability at Switch. The session will outline ways global and local issues play into public sustainability targets — from regulatory considerations and industry collaboration efforts to reducing Scope 3 emissions and efficient resource use.

“Sustainability in Sports and Entertainment Venues” will be presented by Bill Squires, Board Member of the Green Sports Alliance and Chief Venues and Operation Officer for FIFA Men’s World Cup 2024/New York & New Jersey Host Committee, with a discussion of current trends in energy, water, and waste management in the sports and entertainment venue management industry.

The event will feature SED’s signature 1-to-1 meetings, which allow energy customers to engage in personalized pre-scheduled meetings with experienced energy suppliers who have been carefully pre-evaluated for their specialized expertise and availability. These discussions provide a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights, discuss tailored solutions, and build strategic partnerships.
