Washington State recently became the first state to adopt an existing building performance standard, putting it at the forefront of all states in addressing energy efficiency in buildings. After meeting its GHG reduction goal four years ahead of schedule by posting a reduction of 27% vs. a 2005 baseline, Kimberly-Clark announced it will double the target from the original 20% goal to a 40% reduction by 2022.

Luxury fashion brand Burberry has set new climate goals, including the reduction of absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 95% and absolute scope 3 GHG emissions. Both targets are set for 2022 from a 2016 base year. These goals have been approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).
