Infographic: DOE's Better Buildings Alliance releases 2016 update
Every year, the U.S. Department of Energy releases an annual Winter Progress Update highlighting programmatic activities and partner successes of the Better Buildings Alliance. The 2016 Winter Progress Update lauds the accomplishments of more than 200 partners, representing more than 11 billion square feet of building space in the U.S.
The Alliance continued to expand in 2015 and welcomed 19 new partners, representing a diversity of industry sectors such as commercial real estate; healthcare; hospitality; higher education; retail; food service; and grocery, serving as a conduit for effective cross-sector knowledge sharing. The DOE encourages industry stakeholders to peruse the more than 40 resources released by the Better Buildings Alliance Technology and Market Solutions Teams in the past year.
The report also details how partners — including University of California at Berkeley, Hannaford, CKE Restaurants, APPA, MGM Resorts International and CBRE — achieved savings through innovative solutions supported by the Better Buildings Alliance network.
