How Procurement Strategies Perform in Up and Down Energy Markets
In this white paper by Constellation, the company reveals findings of a study on how different energy procurement program choices — such as fixed price, indexed or blended — might have performed over the rising and falling markets of the past 10 years.
The study evaluated the performance of six energy purchasing strategies over the 10-year period to determine which approaches would have helped customers manage both budget volatility risk and energy cost over time. While past performance is not indicative of future results, Constellation believes the results of this study should help energy users better understand their options and make more informed purchasing decisions.
