Smart Energy Voices Podcast Digs Deep with Industry Movers and Shakers
Smart Energy Decisions announces the debut on August 14 of “Smart Energy Voices,” a podcast series featuring conversations with leaders of the energy transition. In each episode, Smart Energy Decisions founder John Failla digs deep with industry movers and shakers to reveal insights you can learn from in their stories, personalities, and visions for the future.
Season One of the Smart Energy Voices podcast premieres with a preview and two episodes available on August 14, with an additional episode added each Friday through December.
“I’ve had the unique opportunity to connect with so many inspiring professionals in this industry, so I’ve created the Smart Energy Voices podcast to highlight the personal journeys and careers of people making a difference in the energy transition and the companies they lead,” explained John Failla, Founder and Editorial Director of Smart Energy Decisions. “It’s my goal for you to leave each podcast with ideas and tactics to advance your career within the energy industry as well as gain insight into what the future of our industry holds.”
Episode 1 of Smart Energy Voices is “Inspiring Diversity in Energy” with Rose McKinney-James, Managing Principal, McKinney-James & Associates and Energy Works LLC. Rose discusses her involvement in the passage of the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) in Nevada, what it’s been like to be a woman of color in the energy industry, and what it will take to truly create a diverse energy industry.
Episode 2, “10 Questions with Rob Threlkeld” features GM’s Global Manager – Sustainable Energy, Supply and Reliability. Rob has led the charge in transitioning GM towards its goal of 100% sourcing of operations from renewable energy. Discusses GM’s portfolio approach to renewables, the impact of COVID-19 on renewable energy efforts, and the innovative ways technology is accelerating the renewables transition.
