PANGAIA Targets Net-Zero and 100% Renewables Use by 2025
PANGAIA announced Feb. 23 that it is committed to reaching net zero in its operational emissions and powering its operations with 100% renewable energy by 2025.
The materials science company first achieved carbon negative status across all scopes in 2021 after offsetting the carbon emissions associated with its product and business operations. In the longer term, PANGAIA plans to reduce Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions 50% by 2030 and become net-zero by 2040.
The company plans to achieve these targets through the sourcing of clean energy, investing in lower-emission material science products and supporting carbon-sinking projects. Operating as what it calls a Nature-As-A-Solution company, PANGAIA has also supported biodiversity through its tree-planting initiative, Tomorrow Tree Fund.
