A global provider of integrated financial information, analytical applications, and industry services, the company announced its commitment to set a near-term, company-wide emission reduction target in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
FactSet created the company's sustainability plan and an executive-sponsored Sustainability Committee to execute this strategy.
Details were provided in its 2021 Sustainability Report, prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.
"Corporate social responsibility and positively impacting the people and communities around us has always been a part of FactSet's culture,” said Phil Snow, CEO at FactSet in a statement. “Committing to the SBTi is another step for FactSet to make a positive difference for our planet and the communities we serve. We are proud of the sustainability initiatives we have accomplished to date and are pleased to have an opportunity to advance our action in the fight against climate change and our goals for a decarbonized future.”
