SED Welcomes ENERGY STAR, iMasons, IMT, Ratio Institute, and Second Nature to the Net Zero Forum
Smart Energy Decisions announces a roster of content partners including iMasons, Second Nature, ENERGY STAR, IMT, and Ratio Institute for the Net Zero Forum, September 12-14, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Each partner will present specialized content for Forum attendees and their own members, who are encouraged to attend and participate in all aspects of the Net Zero Forum.
”These partner organizations recognize the importance of decarbonization and are taking steps to help their members develop and achieve their goals,” said Lisa Carroll, Director of Community Development. “We are grateful to have our partners sharing their expertise and creating opportunities to foster a cross-sector sharing of ideas and strategies among our energy customers at the Net Zero Forum”.
The Net Zero Forum is an actionable event designed to accelerate the development and execution of Net Zero strategies. Buyers from large energy customers – including commercial, industrial, institutional (higher education and healthcare), and government - attend as an important step in the journey to reduce the carbon emissions of their organization and achieve their Net Zero ambitions. This unique event is the ONLY EVENT devoted entirely to their Net Zero success, with opportunities to learn, network with peers and conduct business planning sessions with prospective suppliers who can help them succeed.
The iMasons Climate Accord (ICA) will conduct a special 2-hour workshop on “Decarbonizing Data Center Power” at the Net Zero Forum on Monday, September 12, which will be available to ICA members and Net Zero Forum attendees. Infrastructure Masons (iMasons), a non-profit professional association, has assembled the iMasons Climate Accord, (ICA) a historic cooperative of over 150 companies devoted to decarbonizing data center power by reducing carbon in digital infrastructure materials, products, and energy. ICA members include hyperscale companies AWS, Google, Meta, and Microsoft, which represent some of the largest digital infrastructure portfolios in the world, and over 60 colocation data center providers, product, service, and investment firms that fund, build and operate the foundation of the internet and drive the data center supply chain.
Second Nature will present a Preconference Workshop on “Tackling Climate Commitments in Higher Education,” open to Energy Customers only on Monday, September 12. Second Nature is committed to accelerating climate action in, and through, higher education. They do this by mobilizing a diverse array of higher education institutions to act on bold climate commitments, scale campus climate initiatives, and create innovative climate solutions. Second Nature aligns, amplifies, and bridges the sector’s efforts with other global leaders to advance urgent climate priorities.
ENERGY STAR’s Manufacturing Track Session, “Industrial Decarbonization: Navigating the Rocky Road to Net Zero” is open to all attendees. ENERGY STAR is a voluntary U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) program delivering environmental benefits and financial value through superior energy efficiency. Through the program, EPA partners with businesses and public-sector organizations to transform the way that commercial buildings use energy.
The Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) will present a session on “Green Lease Leaders” as part of the Buildings Track, open to all attendees. IMT is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to decarbonize buildings by catalyzing widespread and sustained demand for high-performance buildings. Founded in 1996 and based in Washington, D.C., IMT leverages its expertise in the intersection of real estate and public policy to make buildings more productive, affordable, valuable, and resilient.
Ratio Institute’s session on “Process, Performance, and Profit Improvement of ESG Reporting” is part of the Buildings Track and open to all attendees. Ratio Institute serves the food retail industry by offering insights that make a difference to positively impact sustainability. They offer a convenient, accessible, and practical certification to help food retailers succeed with strategic sustainability.
