Scentre Group Reduces Emissions by 30%

Scentre Group, which owns and operates shopping centers in Australia and New Zealand, announced a 30% reduction in total portfolio Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions since 2014 and that it has been using 100% renewable electricity in New Zealand since 2022.

Additionally, the company announced its recognition on CDP’s Climate Change A List as the only company in Australia and New Zealand to achieve this.

“I’m very proud of our team and their ability to be proactive and decisive in supporting our customers, communities, business partners, people and investors,” said Scentre Group CEO Peter Allen in a statement. “Looking ahead, we will continue our focus on delivering responsible business objectives to drive performance and create value for our stakeholders.”
