Vontier Receives SBTi Approval
Vontier Corporation, a provider of critical technologies and solutions to connect, manage and scale the mobility ecosystem, announced it received validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term GHG emissions reduction targets.
The company’s SBTi-approved targets include the reduction of absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 45% by 2030 from a 2020 base year and absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions 25% by 2030 from a 2020 base year.
"As we transform our portfolio to lead the energy transition across the mobility sector, Vontier is proud to join a growing list of SBTi-validated companies that are taking climate action," said Mark Morelli, President and CEO of Vontier, in a statement. "We continue to drive operational excellence to reduce emissions and innovate for a more sustainable mobility ecosystem.”
In November 2022, Vontier released its first annual 2022 ESG Report to provide an in-depth look at its goals and sustainability progress since launching in 2020 as an independent public company.
