2023 Renewable Energy Forum Adds Sessions, Energy Customers, Suppliers
Energy customers and suppliers will gather for the 11th edition of Smart Energy Decisions’ Renewable Energy Forum from June 5-7, 2023, at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
The Forum offers energy customers the opportunity to network with experienced peers who have successfully implemented renewable strategies. They'll also meet privately with leading industry suppliers in 1:1 meetings to share ideas and tailor solutions to help meet energy and sustainability goals. A variety of networking opportunities will round out the event.
"Smart Energy Decisions is looking forward to welcoming our community back to Ponte Vedra, which has become a favorite location among our attendees," said Debra Chanil, Director of Editorial and Research. "The atmosphere lends itself to our spirit of collaboration, as energy customers share challenges and achievements among themselves and with solution providers to dig deep on best practices in creating and implementing renewable energy strategies."
The Forum will feature Smart Energy Decisions' popular "Peer-to-Peer Conversations" led by Peter Kelly-Detwiler, NorthBridge Energy Partners LLC, who will provide a brief industry overview followed by "Table Topic" discussions dedicated to current industry challenges and solutions. This session is open only to energy customer attendees.
The Opening Keynote, "Prioritizing Social Impact and Renewable Energy," with Sophia Gluck, ESG & Sustainability Lead at Okta, Inc., will kick off a series of educational sessions. A Solutions Spotlight will explore the "University of New Mexico’s $140M+ Conservation Story and Future Renewable Energy Goals," presented by Matthew Cherrin, Vice President at University of New Mexico/Lobo Energy, Inc.
Additional sessions will include "Decarbonizing in a Turbulent Energy Market," with Michael Zenker, Managing Director of Energy Market Analysis at NextEra Energy Resources; "Managing Change and New Technology in Carbon-Free Energy Purchasing," presented by Benjamin Chadwick, Executive Director of Renewables Origination at Constellation; "Navigating the Evolving Policy Landscape to Maximize New Renewable Opportunities," presented by NRG Energy’s Kevin Arritt, Director of Renewable Strategy & Policy, and Michael Schwebel, Manager of Sustainability Consulting; and "The Evolutionary Journey of an Energy Program," presented by Calpine Energy Solutions' Brad Christensen, Vice President of PowerFolio Services and Jon Shore, Director - Energy, Risk and Carbon Management, and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics' Rowena Striff, Energy Manager.
