Thermo Fisher Scientific Reaches 25% Emission Reduction
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a life sciences and diagnostic company, received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for Scopes 1, 2 and 3 and also reached a 25% reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 compared to 2018.
The company a reached fossil fuel-free status at 20 sites and powered 150 sites with renewable electricity, according to an announcement.
Thermo Fisher Scientific also expanded its Design for Sustainability program to accelerate the integration of environmental considerations in product innovation and introduced near-term targets aimed at addressing water scarcity and reducing waste.
Details were provided in its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report.
