CyrusOne Increases 2030 Target
CyrusOne, a global data center developer and operator, accelerated its "climate neutral by 2030" and received validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term target
The company achieved net positive water status for all data centers in regions with extremely high water stress and implemented on-site, customer E-waste recycling services at all the U.S. facilities that they operate.
Details were published in its 2023 Sustainability Report, highlighting the company’s commitments to the environment, the community, and stakeholders.
“I’m proud of what our team has achieved over the last year, helping CyrusOne to meet far-reaching sustainability goals in addition to keeping pace with customer priorities, technological innovations, and government standards,” said Eric Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of CyrusOne, in a statement. “These achievements demonstrate our commitment to customers and regulators and have real benefits to our business and being a part of a more sustainable future.”
The CyrusOne 2023 Sustainability Report provides disclosures compatible with four third-party standards, adhering to The Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) guidance, and demonstrating alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
