Emera Lowers Emissions by 41%
Emera Inc. made a 41% reduction in CO2 emissions across Emera’s operations from 2005 levels and reduced the use of coal in generation by 68% since 2005.
The energy and services company commits to spending $5.3 billion on cleaner, reliable energy through 2025 and has invested $18 million invested in communities in 2022, including a one-time investment in the University of South Florida to establish the TECO Center for Clean Energy Research.
Details were provided in its 2022 Sustainability Report.
