Global Payments Discloses Scope 3 Emissions
Global Payments, a global provider of payment technology and software solutions, will disclose Scope 3 GHG emissions for the first time to increase transparency.
The company plans to lower its carbon footprint to achieve net zero GHG emissions prior to 2040.
Details were disclosed in the release of its 2023 Global Responsibility Report.
“At Global Payments we are committed to redefining success with a continuous improvement mindset and by constantly striving to do better as an organization. This includes driving positive change across our four Global Responsibility pillars of Culture & Values, Environmental Sustainability, Community Impact and Corporate Responsibility,” said Cameron Bready, president and CEO, in a statement. “I am immensely proud of the many successes delivered by our team members in support of our customers, our communities, and each other highlighted in the 2023 Global Responsibility Report. Together, we are having a meaningful impact that benefits all of our stakeholders.”
The 2023 Global Responsibility Report is aligned with the SASB and Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures frameworks. The report also highlights the company’s commitment to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In July, Global Payments submitted a 2023 CDP Climate Change Questionnaire.
