Ford Boosting Charging Network by 25%
Ford is growing its BlueOval™ Charge Network in North America by 25%, bringing the new network total to more than 106,000 chargers.
Customers can access three new charging providers — Francis Energy, Blink, and Red E — across the U.S. and Canada, and they can use the embedded charger routing and simple payment options via FordPass. These three providers bring more than 10,000 new chargers to the network, including more than 550 new DC fast chargers.
Blink, Francis Energy, and Red E join the existing BlueOval Charge Network providers, Shell Recharge Solutions, Electrify America, EVgo, ChargePoint, FLO, EV Connect, and Electric Circuit.
The BlueOval Charge Network is a public charging network that provides Ford EV drivers with easy access to a variety of charging providers without the need for multiple apps and memberships, according to Ford's website. The network currently has over 106,000 total charging stations with over 11,800 fast-charging stations.
Ford plans for additional significant DC fast charger growth, including at dealerships, and availability of additional Tesla stations starting in early 2024.
