o9 Solutions' Goals Validated by SBTi
o9 Solutions, an enterprise AI software platform provider for transforming planning and decision making, announced the submission of its science-based emission reduction targets was validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The company submitted one long-term and two short-term science-based targets in 2023 and committed to reaching net-zero GHG emissions across the value chain by 2040 from a 2022 base year.
As a near-term target, o9 commits to lowering absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030, measured against a 2022 baseline year. The company also commits to ensuring that by 2028, 90% of its suppliers by emissions, spanning purchased goods and services, will have adopted science-based targets, also benchmarked against a 2022 baseline.
The company's long-term target is to lower absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90% by 2040 from a 2022 base year. o9 Solutions also commits to reducing absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% within the same timeframe.
Using its proprietary Digital Brain platform, o9 will identify strategic enhancements within its value chain. The company already initiated a comprehensive supplier engagement strategy, modifying the o9 code of conduct to resonate with these targets.
