OKI Receives SBTi Validation
OKI, a Japanese information and telecommunication manufacturer, received SBTi certification for its FY2030 GHG emission reduction targets.
Its FY2030 targets include a 42% reduction in CO2 emissions at OKI sites and a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions at suppliers and from product use, according to a statement.
One decarbonization goal, "reducing the environmental impact through business activities", has been achieved at its Honjo Plant H1 building (Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture). It is the first large-scale production facility in Japan to obtain “ZEB” certification.
OKI aims to further achieve this goal through technology development, increased power efficiency during product use, and through collaboration with its suppliers.
The company also plans to practice power saving in its hardware products, technology development, selection of power-saving parts, and a reduction in the number of parts.
