DHL Partners for Clean Power and SAF

DHL Group has signed an agreement for green power procurements including electricity and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). 

Global green technology company Envision Group and DHL Group have signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement to develop logistics solutions and mutually accelerate each other’s sustainability goals. The partnership involves logistics solutions, SAF, green energy and a "Net Zero Industrial & Logistic Park.” 

DHL and Envision are both committed to sustainability with net-zero emission targets. 

DHL aims to increase its SAF mix to 30% by 2030. Through this collaboration, Envision will provide SAF for DHL and explore renewable feedstock sources and technology routes to continuously advance decarbonization in the air transportation sector. 

Additionally, Envision will provide comprehensive green energy transition solutions, including electricity, to complement DHL’s renewable energy goals through green power procurements. 

The partners will also explore the opportunities for the joint development of a “Net Zero Industrial & Logistic Park,” representing a new class of industrial parks that are fully powered by clean energy and integrate the supply chains of several industries including EV and battery manufacturing.  

Envision has already launched The Park in Asia, parts of Europe, and the Middle East. 

"The aviation sector is currently trailing targets largely due to high costs associated with green hydrocarbons and their derivatives,” said Lei Zhang, Chairman of Envision Group, in a statement. “Envision, through systematic innovation, can reduce cost and revolutionize the production of SAF at scale. The development of this ‘new oil’ will support global efforts towards carbon neutrality."
