Coty Achieves Emission Targets
Cosmetics and perfume manufacturer Coty surpassed Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction targets and achieved a significant 65% reduction in Scope 3 air freight emissions.
“As we mark our 120th anniversary, we are immensely proud of our achievements in sustainability and innovation,” said Coty CEO Sue Nabi in a statement. “In FY24, Coty made extraordinary progress toward our ESG goals, from achieving gender balance in leadership to setting ambitious new targets on packaging and water use. Sustainability remains central to Coty’s success as we continue to make progress in areas critical to the future of beauty."
Coty surpassed its 2030 Scope 1 and 2 emissions targets, achieving an 82% reduction since 2019. The company also reports a 65% reduction in air freight emissions compared to 2019 due to optimized logistics.
Coty-owned factories and distribution centers are powered by 100% renewable electricity, and eight sites — including factories, labs and offices — are carbon neutral for Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
The company additionally announced the launch of Infiniment Coty Paris, its first full collection manufactured with 100% alcohol from recycled carbon emissions.
Coty completed its preliminary double materiality assessment and released a summary of its Climate Risks and Opportunities Assessment, aligned with the TCFD framework.
