Neolith Goals Validated by SBTi
Neolith Group, a Spanish sintered stone provider, announced that its science-based targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The company announced that direct emissions reductions will be prioritized, and all residual emissions will be neutralized in line with SBTi criteria before reaching net-zero emissions.
The company uses all-natural raw materials to manufacture its sintered stone architectural surfaces.
“We are honored to have our science-based emission reduction targets approved by the SBTi,” said Jesús Ayarza, CEO of Neolith Group, in a statement. “This truly demonstrates our absolute commitment to fully decarbonize our company by 2050 and positions us in the correct path to achieve it. From its inception, Neolith’s sustainability agenda has always been a priority, and we will continue to work towards achieving this goal".
Neolith Group committed to reach net-zero GHG emissions across the value chain by 2050 and also commits to lower absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50.4% by 2032 from a 2022 base year for the near-term targets and reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions 30% within the same timeframe. The company commits to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2022 base year.
