Transcom’s Targets Validated by SBTi
Transcom, a provider of AI and digitally enhanced customer experience (CX) services, announced that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated its GHG emissions reduction targets.
The SBTI approved both near-term targets for 2033 and long-term targets to reach net-zero GHG emissions across the company's value chain by 2050.
Transcom commits to lower absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 54.6% by 2033 from a 2023 base year. The company also commits to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from business travel and employee commuting 32.5% within the same timeframe. Transcom further commits that 80% of its suppliers by spend that cover purchased goods and services and capital goods will have science-based targets by 2029.
Transcom’s long-term targets include a commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2023 base year. The company also commits to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions 90% within the same timeframe.
