Azenta Lowers Emissions 20%

Azenta, a provider of life sciences solutions, announced that in 2024 the company lowered its carbon footprint by achieving a 20% reduction in Scope 1 and  2 GHG  emissions (market-based) compared to 2022.

The company also sourced over 60% of its electricity from renewable sources, according to a statement.

Azenta also advanced sustainable innovation with products like the BioArc™ Ultra, providing its  customers with cutting-edge solutions for large-scale, eco-friendly sample storage.

Details were mentioned in the company’s annual Environmental, Social, & Governance  report, which includes ESG data for the company's fiscal year ended September 30, 2024.

Azenta strengthened its commitment to sustainable procurement by training 100% of its  global buyer team on sustainable sourcing and expanding its partnership with EcoVadis® to evaluate the ESG performance of over half of its Tier 1 suppliers by spend.
