Speakers, topics unveiled for SED Innovation Summit
New speakers and panel topics have been announced for Smart Energy Decisions' 2018 Innovation Summit, which aims to build on the success of the inaugural event earlier this year.
Joining the previously announced list of four keynote speakers from commercial and industrial companies with leading-edge energy management programs that have been confirmed for the 2018 Innovation Summit is Robin Haugen, general manager of Toyota's plant and environmental engineering group.
The invitation-only event will run Feb. 25, 2018, through Feb. 27, 2018, at the Barton Creek Resort in Austin, Texas. With The Future of Energy Management as the theme, the Innovation Summit will again address topics in all parts of the corporate energy management supply chain from procurement through demand management. Based on the feedback from our advisory board, coordination is underway for 12 general sessions, including a series of panels, that will draw on the expertise of energy and sustainability executives covering the following topics:
- Advanced energy efficiency technologies
- Strategies for incorporating distributed energy resources into your portfolio
- The evolution of utility relationships
- Energy storage applications
- Energy data analytics/optimization
- The transition to renewable energy sources
- Fleet electrification
Designed and programmed with input from the Smart Energy Decisions advisory board, the conference will feature forward-looking content focused on strategy in both the supply and demand sides of energy management. The objective of the Innovation Summit is to help attendees learn from best practices, make new connections and discover solutions that will help improve their company's results and reduce carbon emissions.
In addition to Haugen, confirmed speakers at the Innovation Summit include:
- JT Hufnagel, Corning Inc., global energy operations manager
- Bruce Fransden, Equinix Inc., senior manager, global utilities and sustainability
- Cindy Quan, Goldman Sachs & Co., vice president, environment, social and governance team
