Illinois Adds Five Community Solar Projects
A portfolio of five community solar projects in Illinois with a combined capacity of 19 megawatts is scheduled to be finished in 2024.
The solar portfolio is estimated to produce enough power to offset 3,800 homes annually, amounting to millions of pounds of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
The projects were built and coordinated by companies Radiance Solar and Pivot Energy.
Radiance Solar, serving as the engineering, procurement, and construction partner, has already completed over 10 community solar projects in Illinois. The facilities will be owned by Pivot Energy, a community solar developer in Illinois and nationwide.
"This partnership with Radiance Solar in developing these significant community solar projects showcases our joint dedication to providing sustainable, accessible clean energy solutions to communities in Illinois," said Matthew Dunham, VP of Project Management, Pivot Energy, in a statement.
