Messick's Farm Equipment Invests in Solar
Messick's Farm Equipment, a provider of agricultural machinery and services in central Pennsylvania, invested in solar energy to increase its operational efficiency and lower energy costs.
A 1.07-megawatt (MW) roof-mounted solar system was installed at Messick's Farm Equipment at their corporate headquarters in Mount Joy, Lancaster County, by Paradise Energy Solutions.
The commercial solar installation comprises over 2,200 solar panels strategically placed on the facility's rooftop using a ballast mount system. The system is projected to offset nearly 100% of the annual electricity usage at the facility, resulting in significant cost savings.
"Our operations are energy-intensive, and exploring solar was a smart financial decision for us,” said Kevin Messick, Corporate Administrator at Messick's Farm Equipment, in a statement. “Paradise Energy Solutions demonstrated that going solar makes good financial sense by significantly reducing our electricity costs. The installation went very smoothly, and we are very pleased with their work.”
