Coster Group Switches to 100% RE
Coster Group, a global aerosol and dispensing packaging company, announced that it has successfully transitioned to 100% electricity from renewable sources across all operations worldwide.
The company has also focused on reducing its carbon footprint by transitioning to renewable energy sources, utilizing both direct access to renewable energy and internationally recognized renewable energy certificates (iRECs and GOs). The culmination of these efforts has led to Coster Group achieving 100% electricity from renewable sources across all of its sites globally.
Since 2017, the company has focused on lowering energy consumption and adopting renewable energy solutions to meet internal and international energy and emissions targets. From 2017 to 2023, the company implemented a range of significant energy-saving initiatives, achieving an energy efficiency improvement of nearly 7 GWh in electricity consumption across its global sites.
“Sustainability is at the core of Coster Group’s business strategy,” said Andrea Raineri, chief innovation and sustainability officer at Coster Group, in a statement. “We are committed to having a positive environmental impact while continuously challenging ourselves to improve. Our sustainability roadmap will guide us toward achieving ambitious goals by 2030, strengthening our dedication to a more sustainable future.”
Since 2018, the company has been actively investing in renewable energy through the installation of solar panels at its manufacturing sites. Currently, four of Coster’s plants are equipped with solar power systems, and the company plans to expand this renewable energy infrastructure in the future.
