SED 2025 WISE Winners Announced
Smart Energy Decisions is proud to announce the winner of its fourth annual WISE (Women in Smart Energy) Awards.
“We congratulate the impressive women being honored with this WISE Award,” said Debra Chanil, Director of Editorial and Research, Smart Energy Decisions (SED). “Their dedication, innovation, and leadership are advancing the clean energy evolution and inspiring the next generation of women in this field. We’re thrilled to celebrate their achievements at Net Zero Forum Spring 2025.”
Open to women in commercial, industrial, institutional (higher education and healthcare), and government organizations, the 2025 WISE Awards recognize the following leaders across these categories: Industry Veteran, Leadership, Project/Initiative, and Rising Star:
Industry Veteran: Recognizing a woman with more than 10 years of experience who has made — and continues to make — a positive impact on the smart energy industry:
- Krysten Cruz, Energy Procurement Lead, General Motors
Leadership: Recognizing a woman who has demonstrated excellence in leadership either within her own organization or the wider smart energy industry:
- Lisa Belokur, Vice President of Planning & Facilities Management, Georgetown University
- Charlene Heydinger, President, Texas PACE
- Allison Porter, Director of Sustainable Real Estate, HP Inc.
- Monica Walker, Renewable and Energy Strategy Manager, General Motors
Project/Initiative: Recognizing a woman who has led or significantly contributed to a project for her organization or the wider smart energy industry:
- Alyssa Barbuto, Environmental Sustainability Lead, Honda
- Sarah Emerson, Environmental Services Specialist, City of San Jose
- Dr. Maryann Tebben, Director, Center for Food and Resilience (CFaR), Bard College at Simon’s Rock
- Nicole Bridges, Project Manager, Medxcel
Rising Star: Recognizing a woman with less than 10 years of experience in the smart energy industry who is already making a positive impact:
- Jasmine Jain, Environmental Services Specialist, City of San Jose
- Christina Sivulka, Global Sustainability Senior Manager, EnerSys
- Alison Ward, Sustainability Supervisor, Boise School District
Smart Energy Decisions will celebrate these WISE award winners during a presentation at Net Zero Forum Spring 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Lost Pines, Texas. Winners are also invited to participate in the event to make new connections, gain critical industry insights — and spark further accomplishments.
