U of Hawaiʻi creates energy-smart university
The University of Hawaiʻi has completed the installation of an Energy Internet of Things (IoT) platform across the institution’s 10 campuses. The project helps advance the university’s strategic sustainability priorities, which focuses on energy data management, energy efficiency, and expanding its renewable energy portfolio.
UH Manoa plans solar system
The University of Hawaii at Mānoa will add a photovoltaic canopy on the top deck of its main parking structure along with several rooftop solar arrays to generate 2 MW of electricity. The system, to be completed in 2019, is part of the University&rsq plan to move the campus closer to its 2035 net-zero energy goal.
University of Hawaii to reach 100% onsite RE
The University of Hawaii’s Maui College campus will become among the first in the nation to generate 100% percent of its energy from on-site solar photovoltaic (PV) systems coupled with battery storage.
