Williams-Sonoma Decreases Emissions by 24%, Adds Wind Power
Williams-Sonoma, Inc., a home retailer, announced it lowered its operational emissions by 24% and executed its first long-term investment in renewable energy through a power purchase agreement (PPA) in Texas, supplying 100% wind energy to retail stores and distribution centers in the area.
Details were published in its 2022 Impact Report, highlighting the company's progress on emissions reduction across both its operations and value chain. Williams-Sonoma reported significant progress toward its Science Based Target goals and that its initiatives to achieve emissions reduction across its value chain included new vendor engagement and preferred materials strategies to reduce Scope 3 emissions.
