Atkore Achieves 2025 Goal Ahead of Schedule

Atkore Inc. announced the company reached its climate, carbon, and GHG emissions goal for 2025 one year ahead of schedule in fiscal year 2024.

The manufacturer of electrical products also installed electric charging stations at its Phoenix, Arizona facility that leverages electricity generated from previously installed solar canopies and electrified its fleet that is powered by solar energy at its Oudenaarede, Belgium facility. Atkore additionally installed on-site charging stations for the West Bromwich, UK facility's electric vehicles.

Details were released in its 2024 Sustainability Report, detailing key highlights in the company’s environment, social and governance (ESG) practices and performance.

“Atkore’s achievements around sustainability can be attributed to focusing ESG improvements across the entire value chain,” said Bill Waltz, Atkore President and CEO, in a statement. “From building an engaged and aligned workplace culture to modifying our operations, supporting our customers, holding our own suppliers accountable and assisting the communities in which we live and work, Atkore remains committed to continue building a more sustainable future.”

For a second time, Atkore was recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its exemplary contributions to protecting the environment through industry-leading energy achievements.

Atkore published Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for a substantial portion of the company’s core product offerings, demonstrating transparency regarding the environmental impact of its products and helping customers achieve their own sustainability goals.

The company is focused on improving its energy performance, minimizing its water consumption and impact on water resources, reducing waste from its business activities, and strategically addressing the implications of climate change for the business, including reducing GHG emissions.
